From an early age, music has been at the center of my life, but my formal journey began at 14 when I started vocal lessons with Omid Tajdoost. Through him, I joined the Avasa Choir under the direction of Loris Houvian, where I immersed myself in music theory, solfege, and music history. This experience solidified my decision to pursue music professionally.

At 17, I began Flamenco and Classical guitar studies with Farhad Majidzadeh and Peyman Fakharian, later expanding my skills to electric guitar and exploring other genres under Mohammad Reza Saboktakin at the University of Art and Culture, where I studied blues theory and techniques. Despite the personal loss of my father and the challenges of the global pandemic, I graduated with the highest GPA in my class. During quarantine, the solitude sparked a deep creative drive, leading me to teach myself music composition and begin exploring my voice in music.

Determined to advance my studies, I prepared intensively for the 2022 national entrance exam in Composition. Six months later, I achieved first place in my field and entered my preferred program at the College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. There, I worked closely with distinguished composers including Dr. Amin Honarmand, Dr. Hossein Ghambari, and Karen Keyhani, refining my compositional voice and artistic philosophy.

Completing my Master\u2019s dissertation in 2024 deepened my interest in analytical and research-based approaches to composition. Today, my work explores the intersection of personal expression, theoretical inquiry, and the search for a distinctive musical language.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

I see the creative process of composing as closely linked to research. I often begin with a single idea and explore it from multiple angles, listening to other composers\u2019 works, reading articles and books about relevant instruments, forms, or techniques, and allowing each discovery to shape the evolving piece. This process of inquiry and exploration continues until the work feels complete, and it is this continual search for new possibilities that makes composing both intellectually stimulating and deeply rewarding for me.

My studies in modern music at the University of Tehran have provided me with advanced analytical tools, including Schenkerian analysis and Allen Forte\u2019s pitch-class set theory for atonal music. While I have not yet fully embraced an atonal mindset, my explorations have led to a distinctive personal sound. I am particularly interested in the balance between intuitive, expressive composition and theoretically informed creation, and I aim to expand my approach by engaging with new sources of inspiration and compositional methodologies.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
